Internet Explorer 7 was released this week, but has had some problems already. I know, surprising since Microsoft always releases such great products that only need security updates once a day. Needless to say, I installed IE7 but found one major problem for myself, FTP access to a website would not work. For those wondering, FTP is a method to upload files to a personal website, via Internet Explorer, without the need for any third party application.I decided to uninstall IE7 after this discovery, only to find the program was not listed in the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel. Well, after searching and searching, I’ve learned one must check the box titled Show Updates in the Add/Remove Programs section. Secondly, IE7 is listed as Windows Internet Explorer, while I was looking for Internet Explorer or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Once I actually noticed the Windows Internet Explorer option, the uninstall was a breeze, with a restart upon completion.
