Spinning the various aspects of technology

With all the hype, and I say hype since the product has not yet been released and will not be until June of this year, over the iPhone, some people may have overlooked the other very cool product Apple launched last week, the Apple TV. This product will be available next month, and has the potential of changing our home entertainment system.

Apple TV is a small box, as pictured above, which connects to your television, stereo, etc., and can play items from your computer, specifically within iTunes, wirelessly. This means if you purchase a TV show on iTunes, currently only available for U.S. customers, that TV show can be viewed on your television in another room without having to bring your laptop down to the television, or without having everyone huddle around your computer to watch the last episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Not only can you watch TV shows from the comfort of your living room, the Apple TV box will also allow the playing of music from your iTunes library, as well as viewing pictures from your computer.

Best of all, the Apple TV box itself is self-powered, meaning you won’t have to worry about yet another power cord being tangled behind the television.
